Comments from student teachers
Carolyn Chapman gave us many great ideas that we could incorporate into lessons for almost any grade and subject. I especially liked the ideas on how to structure lessons so that they meet the multiple intelligences of students. We learned "Multiplicaction Macarena" and how to teach vocabulary using "words in motion".
She explained that teachers need to "remember to work smarter not harder" by assessing students before, during and after learning occurs, and she showed us how we can incorporate choice boards in our classroom so students can choose how they want to express their learning.

Carolyn Chapman had some very helpful ideas about how to approach teaching students at different levels. She stressed the importance of making all levels of the lesson equally fun, and that the highest ability students are not the best tutors. She had lots of great ideas and I really got a lot out of it.
